The paralegal supports the legal team by preparing legal documents, conducting research, and coordinating office activities such as docketing deadlines and client interviews. The role requires strong organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills, as well as familiarity with legal procedures and document preparation under attorney supervision. Candidates should have completed an ABA-approved paralegal program and possess at least three years of experience in a law firm setting.

Responsibilities:- Gather information about legal issues from the client in interviews
- Take care of administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining an organized filing system for all legal documents
- Help lawyers prepare for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, filing motions, conducting research on legal articles, and organizing and coordinating witnesses
- Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings such as complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits, under the supervision of a lawyer
- Coordinate law office activity, including the drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers
- Docketing all deadlines and follow-up to make sure all deadlines are met
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar
- ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired
- 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
- Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills
- Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred
- Familiar with Georgia Civil Procedures
