Job Details:
• Work as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing professional nursing knowledge and skills in patient care
• 16-hour shifts with flexible scheduling
• Up to 1 overnight per week and 3 weekends per 13-week contract
• Call schedule runs from Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 6:30 AM
• Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
• Patient ratio of 1:1 in a 16-bed unit
• Average 35-50 cases per day with expectation for turnovers less than 20 minutes
• Must be proficient in circulating with scrub experience desired
• Work with 16 operating rooms running 12-14 routinely
• Handle various service lines including cardiac/PV, neuro, ortho trauma, robotics, gynecology, urology, general surgery, pediatrics, and transplants
• Use specialized equipment including 3 DaVinci robots and Stealth technology for neuro navigation
• Required to float across all campuses within the health system
• Scrubs provided
• Must have 2+ years of current OR experience with proficient circulating experience
• Level I trauma center experience required
• EPIC EMR experience within previous 3 years required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Iowa nursing license required
• Must have completed a travel assignment within previous 12 months
