A hospital employed community-based practice in Hartford County is currently seeking a licensed Psychiatrist for a promising position with their growing team.

About the Opportunity

• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 8am to 4:30pm
• Setting: Outpatient
• Call: Light rotated telephone call

Responsibilities:

The Psychiatrist will

• Prescribe, direct, and administer psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders
• Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers
• Discuss care plans and progress in collaborative team approach model
• Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical histories, reports, and examination results
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records
• Review patient's history and perform physical examination
• Evaluate, diagnose and provide appropriate treatment and patient care for disorders and diseases
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Current unrestricted CT medical license
• Board Certified/Eligible in Psychiatry (MD/DO)
• DEA / BLS / ACLS
