ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Board-Certified Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician to serve as an Obstetrics Hospitalist in a Level II NICU hospital environment. This Locum or Locum-to-Perm role involves providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient obstetric care, managing deliveries, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary care team. The position offers a steady schedule, competitive pay, and the opportunity to work with advanced technology using the EPIC EMR system.
Dates / ScheduleShift Schedule: 5 6 shifts per month
Shift Hours: 24-hour shifts, 7:00 AM 7:00 AM
Weekend Shifts: Required; same 24-hour format
On-Call: None
Average Deliveries: 4 5 per 24-hour shift (majority vaginal, 25% C-sections)
Holiday Coverage: Premium holiday pay available
Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic hospitalist care for inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings (approx. patients daily).
Perform and manage vaginal and cesarean deliveries; delivery experience is required.
Conduct rounds, patient evaluations, and ensure accurate documentation in EPIC EMR.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maintain high standards of patient safety and outcomes.
Participate in holiday coverage as needed; no additional on-call requirements.
Opportunity for Locum-to-Perm conversion for long-term placement.
Board Certification: Obstetrics & Gynecology Required
Licensure: Active California Medical LicenseRequired
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and DEA Required prior to start
COVID-19 Vaccination: Mandatory Required
Experience: 1 5 years in a similar hospital or OB/GYN practice Highly Preferred
NPDB Self-Query: Required
Malpractice/License History: Must be disclosed; candidates with prior issues may be considered on a case-by-case basis
