Job Details:

• Perform magnetic resonance imaging on patients utilizing highly technical equipment
• Administer contrast materials as required including IV and oral contrast
• One weekend per month required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Prepare scan room and patient for examination (25% of duties)
• Draw up IV contrast, administer oral contrast, perform equipment warm-up procedures, enter patient data and scan parameters (25% of duties)
• Transport and position patients appropriately, inject IV contrast, perform scans with proper positioning (25% of duties)
• Ensure proper image marking and orientation, enter images in correct order (15% of duties)
• Prepare records for radiologist review and ensure clinical information is complete (10% of duties)
• Interview and screen patients for contraindications prior to MRI studies
• Explain procedures and answer patient questions
• Utilize correct protocols, coils, restraints and scanning materials
• 2+ years of MRI experience required
• Siemens experience required
• Associate degree required
• Must live outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Required certifications: ARRT (MRI), BLS (AHA)
• Skills checklist current within 1 year required
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within last two years required
