American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and current BLS and ARRT (N) or CNMT certification.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital nuclear medicine department specializing in diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceutical procedures
- Day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Responsible for procedures utilizing gamma cameras (planar and SPECT), PET, radiation detectors, dose calibrators, and quality control equipment
- Handles radiopharmaceutical administration, preparation, measurement, and quality control according to NRC guidelines
- Responsible for all aspects of radiopharmaceutical injection, calculation, and documentation
- Performs patient positioning, equipment operation, and monitoring during procedures
- Applies radiation safety regulations and quality control protocols diligently
- Works independently using sound judgment and initiative
- No more than 5 days of requested time off will be approved for the contract
- Local travelers can only complete one travel assignment at this facility
- Minimum of 2 years of nuclear medicine technologist experience required
- ARRT (N) or CNMT certification required
- Current BLS (AHA) certification required
- Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine instrumentation, radiation safety practices, NRC guidelines, dosimetry, and ALARA techniques required
- Experience with intravenous (IV) access and aseptic technique required
- Knowledge of RIS and HIS preferred
- License required if applicable
- Must live more than 50 miles from facility; local candidates will not be considered
