Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for a long-term locum tenens opportunity at a well-established emergency department in Harker Heights, Texas.

This is a stable, ongoing need supporting an MD + APP coverage model, offering a mix of day, swing, and night shifts with strong physician collaboration and modern systems.

Shift Structure
Available APP shifts include:

• 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM
• 6:00 PM – 4:00 AM

Providers must be comfortable covering a mix of shifts as needed by the department.

Emergency Department Overview

• Annual ED Volume: ~43,769 visits
• ED Beds: 17
• Hospital Beds: 83
• Patients Per Hour: High-acuity, steady pace
• Trauma Level: Level IV

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across all acuity levels
• Perform emergency procedures within scope of practice
• Collaborate closely with Emergency Medicine physicians
• Supervise and manage patient flow efficiently
• Document all care accurately in Epic EMR

Candidate Requirements
For Nurse Practitioners

• Completion of an accredited NP program with Emergency Medicine training or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years of independent Emergency Medicine experience (required)
• Active & unrestricted Texas NP license
• Active DEA
• Board Certification (NCCNP)
• ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Procedure logs from the last 24 months
• TB screening within the last 12 months

For Physician Assistants

• Graduate of an accredited PA program
• Active & unrestricted Texas PA license
• NCCPA Board Certification
• Active DEA
• ACLS, BLS, PALS
