What You'll Do: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for adult inpatients admitted to the behavioral health unit. Formulate individualized treatment plans, incorporating medication management, psychotherapy recommendations, and collaboration with other mental health professionals. Provide ongoing monitoring and management of patient care, adjusting treatment plans as needed. Offer crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing acute mental health episodes. Document all patient interactions and treatment decisions thoroughly and efficiently within the Cerner electronic medical records system. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and ensure coordinated treatment approaches. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in psychiatry and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities (time permitting). Who You Are: Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a current and active license to practice medicine in California (only). Board-certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) (required). Current BLS certification (required). A commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to adults experiencing mental health challenges. Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
