- Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive inpatient medical care, including patient admissions, daily rounds, and discharges. Oversee diagnostic assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care with nursing teams and consulting specialists. Provide clear and compassionate communication to patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions. Participate in rapid responses and inpatient emergencies as needed. Precept and mentor medical residents and student learners, fostering clinical education and professional development. Serve as a professional leader and role model by serving on hospital committees, promoting evidence-based practices, and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction. Qualifications Education: M.D. or D.O. degree with successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency. Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Internal Medicine. Eligible for Attending medical staff privileges.Licensure: Connecticut medical license (or eligibility to obtain). Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration. Federal DEA Certification.Daytime Position: M ÄìF, 8:00 AM Äì 4:00 PM, with weekday and weekend call as assigned. Comp/Benefits:
