Job Summary – Emergency Room RN (Night Shift):

- Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency department.
- Delivers care with initiative, flexibility, and responsibility, with minimal supervision.
- Safely and accurately triages patients based on physical and psychosocial needs.
- Assesses factors influencing patient flow through the emergency system.
- Communicates effectively with ER physicians and APP providers regarding patient status, symptoms, and diagnostic results.
- Responds quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
- Collaborates with patients, families, physicians, APP providers, allied health staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provides direction to emergency department techs, registration staff, and allied health staff.
- Receives direction from Emergency Department Leader, Providers, and Chief Nursing Officer.
- Works night shifts, typically following a 6 on/8 off schedule.
- Required to maintain current general and nursing certifications (e.g., ACLS, BLS/BCLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, etc.).
