Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and active BLS and ARRT certifications.
Responsibilities
- Position based in an acute care hospital in a beachside location
- Work in the Nuclear Medicine department with a patient ratio of 1:2
- Day shifts are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with required rotational on-call coverage
- Rotational call required weekdays from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM, weekends and holidays from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM
- Must be able to perform lymphoscintigraphy studies including tracer injection
- Use of Epic EMR is required
- Floating between facilities within the state may be required
- Must be available for weekend and holiday shifts as part of the rotational call schedule
- Must commit to working at least 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Return staff policy requires a 3-month waiting period before re-assignment
- Locals are accepted but subject to local pay rules for candidates living within 50 miles
- Scrub color requirements are navy blue for RNs
- All travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Current BLS and ARRT certifications required
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred or required
- Must possess a valid CA license if applicable
- LA fire card required within the last 30 days
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required for consideration
