A well-regarded healthcare organization in Frederick, Maryland , is seeking a Hospitalist Neurologist to join its dynamic inpatient neurology team.
Position Overview:
The Hospitalist Neurologist will provide comprehensive inpatient neurological care, including consultations, stroke management, and acute neurological evaluations. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to hospitalized patients while maintaining close coordination with emergency medicine, internal medicine, and critical care teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inpatient neurological consultations and follow-up evaluations.
Diagnose and manage acute neurological conditions, including stroke, seizures, and neuro-critical cases.
Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and nursing staff to optimize patient care and outcomes.
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
Provide on-call coverage on a shared rotational basis, ensuring continuous patient care.
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
Board Certified / Board Eligible in Neurology.
Active Maryland medical license (or eligibility to obtain).
Prior inpatient or hospitalist neurology experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
