The Registered Nurse-Wound Care provides specialized care for patients with chronic and acute wounds, collaborating with healthcare providers to develop and implement treatment plans. This role requires expertise in advanced wound care techniques and products, focusing on conditions such as diabetic foot ulcers and pressure ulcers. The position demands an active RN license, wound care certification (preferred), and at least two years of nursing experience.

- Schedule: PRN Days, 8a-4:30p Mon-Fri (1-2 shifts per week, as needed)

The Wound Healing Center treats non-healing and hard-to-heal wounds related to diabetes or another health condition, a surgery or a trauma.
Wounds we regularly treat include:
- Venous leg ulcers
- Diabetic foot ulcers
- Arterial ulcers
- Pressure ulcers
- Non-healing surgical wounds
- Non-healing traumatic wounds
- Burns
Wound care services and wound treatments we offer include:
- Diabetic foot care
- Compression therapy
- Negative pressure wound therapy
- Bioengineered skin substitutes
- Bedside wound debridement
- Advanced wound care products
- Limb preservation services
Responsibilities
Responsible for achieving standards of care, collaborating with physician providers and other team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized patient care in accordance with the current policies and procedures. Responsible for ongoing quality, productivity and efficiency in Wound Ostomy Care Services.
Qualifications
- Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
- Experience: Two years experience, required.
- Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in appropriate state, required. Wound Certification, preferred.
- Additional Skills (required):
- Excellent oral and written communication, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to provide care with minimal supervision.
- Additional Skills (preferred): Wound certification. Expertise with advanced wound care products and techniques.
