Days - 4 10-hour shifts or 5 8-hour shifts

Job Description

The Cardiac Catheterization Lab provides care to both the acute inpatient population and the elective outpatient population. Care is provided through an interdisciplinary team, including specialized physicians and clinical nurses. The staff is available 24/7 for emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Position and immobilize patients on the examining table according to protocols.
• Continuously assess patient hemodynamics.
• Perform conscious sedation, mixing and maintaining IV/IC infusions and boluses.
• Alert the physician to changes in patient responses and assist during interventional procedures.
• Recover patients to Phase I post-procedure.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of current Cath Lab experience - required.
• 2+ years of experience in cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures - required.
• Moderate Sedation Certification - highly preferred.
• Experience with cath and peripheral procedures, including STEMI and STEMI call - required.
• Proficiency in interpreting EKG and hemodynamic pressure tracings - required.
• Conscious sedation experience - required.
• IV experience - required.
• EP experience - highly preferred.
• Must hold a current New York license, ACLS, and BLS certifications.
