Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
  • Active Virginia Physical Therapy license required prior to starting the assignment. Candidates licensed in other states must obtain VA licensure before start.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification from AHA or ARC required.
  • Valid driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and reliable vehicle for patient visits.
  • Experience in home health settings preferred. Candidates with prior home health documentation experience, CMS-focused documentation, and in-home evaluation skills are preferred.
  • Ability to complete evaluations, develop and document plans of care, and submit progress notes per agency policy within required timeframes.
  • Willingness to participate in weekend rotation and be available on observed holidays as needed.
  • Supervision experience for PTAs or Home Health Aides preferred, if allowed by state regulation.
