Hospitalist opening in New YorkLocation: Rome, NY - Syracuse 40mPosition Type: Full-Time, Permanent Overview:A trusted community healthcare provider in Central New York, is seeking a full-time Hospitalist (MD or DO) to join its collaborative inpatient team. This opportunity offers a rewarding balance between manageable patient volume and a supportive hospital environment with robust subspecialty access. Full-time, 7 on / 7 off schedule (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) No on-call responsibilities Weekends included in scheduled rotation Average daily census: 12-15 patients per physician Hospitalist team collectively manages 40-50 patients daily Non-trauma designated hospital Clinical Responsibilities: Provide inpatient care and daily rounding for assigned patients Admit new patients and manage rapid responses/codes Collaborate with intensivists in an open ICU with 24/7 consultation support Conduct patient assessments, histories, physical exams, and documentation using Paragon EMR Coordinate with attending physicians, specialists, and nursing staff to ensure comprehensive patient care Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (must become BC within 2 years of contract start) Active New York medical license or willingness to obtain DEA, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications Clean malpractice and licensure history Must be open to a full-time 7 on / 7 off schedule Comfortable working in an open ICU environment with intensivist support Not accepting Locums, Visa, or 1099 candidates Compensation and Benefits: Guaranteed Base Salary: $250,000 - $275,000 Starting Bonus: $15,000 Productivity and Quality Incentive Bonuses Relocation Assistance Available CME Allowance: $3,250 annually Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance HSA and FSA options Life Insurance, Short- and Long-Term Disability Retirement Programs Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Career advancement and special employee discounts Generous PTO, Vacation, and Sick Leave PSLF-qualified employer Estimated pay range/amount is $250,000 - $275,000.
