This role is for a Hospice/Palliative Medicine Nurse Practitioner to provide inpatient palliative care, including rounding on patients and responding to consults in a Maryland facility. The position requires board certification or eligibility, at least three years of experience, and relevant licensure and certifications, with a consistent Monday-to-Friday schedule and no weekend or on-call duty. The facility uses Epic EMR and offers locum coverage from November 24th to December 12th, with the possibility of additional sporadic coverage.

- Urgent Coverage Need: We need a provider for a dedicated stretch from November 24th to December 12th. Needs outside of these dates will be sporadic.
- Consistent Schedule: Work Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM. There are no call requirements and no weekends for this position.
- Inpatient-Only: The role is 100% inpatient, focusing on rounding on palliative care patients and responding to new consults requested by hospital medicine.
- EMR System: The facility uses Epic for all charting.
- Quick Privileging: The estimated time to secure Emergency, Temporary, or Full Privileges is 63 days. The facility will accept candidates who need to obtain a Maryland license.
- Round on inpatients on the Palliative Care provider list.
- Respond to new consults requested by hospital medicine.
- Manage an average of 3-5 admissions per day.
- Work independently while on site.
- Be available by telephone/pager while on site during your shift.
- Credential: Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
- Board Status: Board-Certified or Board-Eligible is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Licensure: An active Maryland State License is required, but we will accept candidates who need to obtain one.
- Certifications: BLS, DEA, and CSR licenses are required.
- The target start date is November 24, 2025.
