Opportunity to perform advanced interventional procedures in a hospital setting. Interventional Radiologic Technologist (PRN, days, as-needed) at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. Performs angiography, venography, myelography, nephro-ureteral, GI studies, drainages, biopsies, post-processing, record keeping, and patient care for adolescent–geriatric populations. PRN (on-call/as-needed) schedule, hospital-based role. - Graduate of AMA‑approved Radiologic Technology program - ARRT(R) registration required - BLS certification required - ARRT(VI) or ARRT(CI) preferred - Experience: none required (clinical competency expected)

Overview:

Shift: PRN (as needed) / Days

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Performs diagnostic and interventional procedures to include but not limited to: angiography, venography, myelography, nephro-ureteral, and gastrointestinal studies, and modality assisted drainage and biopsies. Completes all post processing functions. Performs related record keeping and patient care functions. Ensures the utilization of established protocols and techniques differentiating for adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population in the performance of diagnostic procedures and functions.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
None

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (R).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
BLS Certified.
Advance Certification by ARRT in Vascular-Interventional Radiographer (VI) or Cardiac-Interventional Radiographer (CI) is preferred.
