Frederick Memorial Jim Williams Ortho Joint Replacement Surgeon Gaithersburg area group needs joint replacement surgeon to do hip and knee. This is a practice employed position offering very competitive base salary plus productivity incentive, health, dental, eye, LTD, STD, 403B retirement, CME allowance, generous PTO, malpractice insurance with tail coverage Employed practice 5 surgeons in practice All do general ortho 2 do hip and knee, 1 does interior hip and 1 does not 2 do sport med 1 does foot & snkle 3 PAs Total about 700 hips and knees done in community and their practice does 80% of those FMH is a certified joint program and recognized by insurance cos as a prefered site All 5 Orthos only practice at Frederick Memorial, no other hospitals main office is at Frederick They have a joint unit with rehab located 5 min from hospital 1 of the hip and knee is looking to scale back and eventually retire right now booking out far enough if they had another one would not take long to start filling up call varies, and it's much better than 1:5 share ER call with the one other ortho in group and the couple of solos in community. no buy in, employed position Physician Group is part of Physician Enterprise which is employed by their physician corporation not the hospital and the physician corporation has their own board of directors. One of their group physicians is on the board and 1 is on the physician advisory council Salary is very comtetitive - they use a 3rd party fair market value based on MGMA and Carter & Sullivan Base salary with ongoing productivity based on work RVU and then opportunity for annual patient satisfaction bonus of up to $20,000 based on surveys and other quality metrics that are in place.
