The assignment is initially for six months with the possibility of permanent placement based on performance.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Physician specializing in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine with strong experience in primary care. This position provides on-site medical services to an adult male population in a correctional healthcare setting. The role offers a professional, structured environment with weekday-only scheduling and an opportunity for long-term placement based on performance and mutual fit.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality medical care in accordance with nationally recognized standards.
• Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and document findings in the electronic health record system.
• Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests; manage medications and treatment plans.
• Perform patient reclassifications, reviews, and follow-up assessments as required.
• Refer patients for specialized care or additional treatment when indicated.
• Adhere to institutional policies, ethical guidelines, and professional standards of care.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities and peer reviews.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Manage a patient caseload averaging up to 2.5 patients per hour.
Required Qualifications:
• Active and unrestricted Ohio State Medical License.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
• DEA certification (or eligibility to obtain).
• Minimum Master s degree in a related medical field.
• Minimum 6 months of relevant clinical experience prior to the projected start date.
