Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Level 3 Perinatal Center requiring BLS and NRP certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit
- Level 3 Perinatal Center caring for high-risk obstetrical patients
- Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
- 13-week contract assignment
- Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans in accordance with organizational protocols
- Serve as the primary coordinator for multidisciplinary patient care
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge needs with the healthcare team
- One submission per candidate is allowed for Ascension system-wide positions
- Local candidates are accepted but subject to a reduced rate based on distance from the facility
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this role
Requirements
- Active RN license required and primary source/license verification within 30 days prior to start
- Minimum of 2 years recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by AHA required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification by AHA/AAP required
- Fetal Monitoring certification required (AWHONN, Relias, or similar within past 2 years if not covered on competency exam)
- Nursys license verification required prior to assignment
- All travelers must provide a valid US Social Security Number and a US home address
