Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift role, requiring a compact or TN RN license and multiple specialty certifications.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
- Night shifts, working 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
- Every other weekend or two weekends per month required
- Nurse-patient ratio in Labor & Delivery is 1:2
- 36 hours on-call required every 6 weeks
- Float to other units required
- Time off during major holidays and holiday weeks is generally not accommodated
- Holiday RTO may be requested onsite after assignment begins via formal process
- Orientation offered bi-weekly
- Travelers must adhere to department floating policies
Requirements
- Active RN license valid in TN or a Compact state
- Certifications required: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, AWHONN, and NIHSS
- Previous Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
