General Medicine Provider - Compensation & Pension Examinations
Job Details:
• Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans• Current openings available in Fort Polk, LA (2 days per week needed within 20-mile radius)• Option to work from provider's own office location (required)• PRN basis, ongoing opportunity• Flexible scheduling with half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts available• Conduct one-time, non-treatment CP exams and separation health assessments• Primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessment (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing)• No prescribing or treatment responsibilities• Quick credentialing and onboarding process• Accepting providers with backgrounds in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, general medicine, or experience with compensation and pension• Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions• Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products)• Requires active and unrestricted full license and AANP certification• Must complete DMA training to become DMA certified• Cannot be active military duty, in the reserves, or actively employed at the VA• Local candidates only (travel included in rates)• Regular administrative follow-up work required (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics)
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
Estimated Hourly Rate: $85 - $100
