Job Title: Locum Physician - General Medicine
Join a dedicated healthcare team in Houston, California, as a General Medicine Provider performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Our practice focuses on serving Veterans, ensuring they receive the evaluations they need through a professional, supportive environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct PRN compensation and pension exams, both in-person and via interviews.
- Perform separation health assessments without prescribing medication or treatment.
- Engage in range of motion and muscle strength testing during evaluations.
- Document findings and submit reports, including any necessary addendums.
- Maintain a flexible schedule, with options for half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts.
- Quick credentialing and onboarding process for efficient integration into the practice.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted full medical license in California.
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
- Must have your own office if applying for location-based services.
Licenses and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified in appropriate specialty.
- Current and unrestricted California medical license.
- Must possess proficiency with a non-Mac laptop for documentation.
