Job Details:
• 2 years minimum experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 on days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult to geriatric patient population
• Work in 36-bed telemetry unit with average daily census of 35
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (NIH preferred)
• Must be proficient in Epic charting system, Pyxis, and SBAR
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• Work every other weekend
• Floating required, no call requirements
• Holiday requirements based on number of major holidays during assignment period
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Manage patients with CHF, MI/chest pain, dysrhythmias, hypo/hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT/vascular issues
• Must be able to manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration including milrinone, dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Lidocaine, Bumex, and Heparin
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, post-cardiac procedures, blood product administration, and wound care
• Full compliance required to start on time with 48-hour submission deadline for core items and labs
