Maine - General Surgery The General Surgery position is clinic and OR. They have 3 OR suites with one being a scope room. You would work 4, ten hour shifts per week. Approximately 13 days call. You would be the sole surgeon. Compensation is 500k annual salary with a 50k sign on, 35k housing allowance. The annual salary never decreases, it is only augmented by WRVU s. A surgeon may make substantially more than 500k with WRVU s but they will never make less than 500k. They offer 1 weeks worth of sick time and 6 weeks vacation time annually. One week of CME time and 5k to spend on CME expenses. You would have a PA to assist in the clinic. Must be comfortable doing scopes. Health insurance, vision, dental, 401k with employer match.
