Job Details- Location: Peoria, Illinois
- Assignment Type: Locum Tenens
- Practice Setting: New Medical Oncology Practice
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Duration: 13+ weeks (minimum three weeks availability required)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $14,690 $15,750
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-10 hour day shifts (starting at 7:30 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- No weekend coverage required
- Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support
- PRN Medical Oncologist on-site one week per month
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Medical Oncology
- Active and unrestricted medical license (Illinois preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical Oncology
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Dedication to providing consistent, high-quality patient care
- Deliver direct patient care, including oncology consultations, admissions, and follow-up visits
- Perform hospital rounding as needed
- Work closely with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) for consults, follow-ups, orders, and patient management
- Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary cancer care team
- Provide coverage when the PRN Medical Oncologist is not on-site
