We are currently seeking a dynamic and analytical Accounting Manager to join our team in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing our accounting department's daily operations, ensuring our financial management is accurate and effective. This role will provide you with an opportunity to utilize and hone your financial management, budgeting, financial reporting, and cost accounting skills. You will play a pivotal role in driving our company's financial operations and ensuring our financial processes are compliant and reliable.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Manage the preparation of all financial reports.
3. Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws.
4. Coordinate budget preparation and implement budget control.
5. Conduct financial analysis, prepare detailed financial reports and statements, and provide recommendations based on these analyses.
6. Monitor the creation of all projects' financial reports to ensure that the costs are aligned with the budget.
7. Collaborate with auditing services to ensure the proper compliance of the financial management.
8. Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
9. Manage and mentor a team of financial staff to ensure the department's goals and objectives are met.
10. Analyze complex financial data and extract and define relevant information to provide timely financial reporting to executives.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
3. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
5. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software with an emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
7. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
10. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
11. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
