ED ~43k visits/yr; 24/7 in-house ICU, NICU, OB, Anesthesia; 401-bed STEMI/STROKE center. Contracted group long-standing (38 yrs). - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine - CA medical license (or eligible) - Experience in high-volume ED (preferred) - Strong interpersonal and patient-satisfaction skills - Ability to work as Independent Contractor

This is a opportunity in Orange County, California for a BC/BE EM physician. A stable group with no turnover has a rare opening due to a physician retiring . This group has a history of having the contract at the Hospital for 38 years. Emergency department sees approximately 43,000 patients per year. The hospital has 24/7 in-house coverage by Adult ICU Intensivists, Pediatric ICU Intensivists, Neonatal ICU Intensivists, Obstetrical Birthing Physicians, and Anesthesiology. This is an Independent Contractor status position with malpractice and prepaid tail included. Good interpersonal skills along with an understanding of the importance of patient satisfaction is needed. The hospital has 401 inpatient beds and is a designated STEMI (two cath labs, soon to be three) and STROKE center. The hospital is located in central Orange County, California, just miles from the Huntington and Newport beaches with great year round weather.
