Seeking a board-certified/eligible Pediatric Nephrologist to serve as Medical Director of a Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program in Orlando, FL. The full-time faculty role is ~75% clinical (including transplant care, dialysis, AKI, CKD, hypertension) and 25% protected time for research, program leadership, and teaching. We are seeking a board-certified/eligible Pediatric Nephrologist to serve as Medical Director of a Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program in Orlando, FL. This leadership position offers a unique opportunity to shape and grow a world-class transplant program within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
This full-time clinical faculty role includes:
- 75% clinical effort, with approximately half dedicated to transplant patients
- 25% protected time for research, program leadership, and academic development
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the pediatric kidney transplant program, including clinical operations, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth
- Provide comprehensive nephrology care, including:
- Acute kidney injury, hypertension, chronic kidney disease
- Dialysis (CKRT, PD, HD), plasmapheresis, and transplantation
- Collaborate with pediatric surgery, urology, and adult transplant teams to ensure seamless multidisciplinary care
- Mentor and educate pediatric residents, medical students, and PA students
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and participate in research collaborations
- 4,000+ outpatient visits and 1,500+ inpatient encounters annually
- Strong infrastructure with dedicated laboratory capabilities
- Faculty appointment opportunities with a local College of Medicine
- Multidisciplinary clinics for Lupus/Vasculitis, Williams Syndrome, and kidney stones
- Active participation in national collaboratives (NAPRTCS, NAKI)
- M.D. or D.O. with fellowship training in Pediatric Nephrology
- Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Nephrology
- Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical license
- Demonstrated leadership in transplant care and/or academic medicine
