This locum-to-permanent position seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Neurologist to provide outpatient ALS-focused care for adult patients in New York State. The role involves seeing 6-7 patients daily, with a Monday to Friday schedule and no on-call or weekend duties, using the Epic EMR system. Position Type: Locum-to-Permanent We are actively seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Neurologist for an exciting locum-to-permanent opportunity in New York State, near Warnerville. This is an excellent chance for a compassionate Neurology Physician interested in a dedicated outpatient practice setting, working primarily with adult patients and focusing on ALS care. Position Highlights Start Date: Beginning January 2025 Practice Setting: Outpatient ALS-focused neurology office Patient Demographics: 100% adult, outpatient care Daily Patient Load: Expect to see an average of 6-7 patients per day Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour days On-Call and Weekend Requirements: None EMR System: Epic Requirements Licensure: Active New York State medical license required Board Certification/Eligibility: Neurology, Palliative Care, Hospice, Physiatry, or Internal Medicine with ALS experience Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Special Experience: ALS expertise is a key requirement for this role Compensation: Hourly rate based on experience and qualifications, with a conversion fee cap of $25k for a transition to permanent Reimbursements and Support Travel Assistance: Facility will cover hotel accommodations and rental car expenses for the duration of the assignment.
