Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthopedic Surgeon to provide acute care and inpatient surgical services. This role focuses on the management of complex orthopedic conditions, trauma, and urgent surgical interventions, with an emphasis on high-quality patient care and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients requiring orthopedic surgical care, including trauma and acute conditions.
Perform a wide range of orthopedic procedures, including fracture fixation, joint replacement, and other inpatient surgical interventions.
Collaborate with hospitalists, emergency medicine physicians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Provide preoperative and postoperative care, including patient education and follow-up management.
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and case discussions for optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Stay current with advancements in orthopedic surgery and evidence-based practices.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
Valid medical license to practice in State .
Fellowship or experience in trauma or inpatient orthopedic care preferred.
Strong surgical skills and the ability to manage complex orthopedic cases.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to providing patient-centered care in an acute care setting.
Working Conditions:
Hospital-based, inpatient surgical practice.
May require on-call and weekend coverage.
Fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
