Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

This role provides an opportunity to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in a flexible work environment, accommodating various specialties including family and internal medicine.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Manage documentation accurately, including submitting reports and addendums.
- Work on a PRN basis, with options for half-day or full-day shifts.
- Coordinate with Veterans and provide high-quality assessment services.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- A minimum of one year of experience in general medicine.
- Experience or background in compensation and pension processes is preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted nurse practitioner license in Alaska.
- Current AANP certification.
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
- Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
