Position Overview:We are seeking a certified Nurse Practitioner with experience in first assisting for cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures. This is a rewarding opportunity for providers who thrive in both the OR and critical care environments and enjoy a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
Role Highlights:- Procedures: Assist in CABG, AVR, MVR, thoracotomy, and lung resection cases.
- Duties Include:
- Performing OR assists, vein harvests, and chest tube placements
- Managing patients in telemetry and ICU settings
- Participating in inpatient rounds, procedures, and weekend surgical coverage
- Schedule:
- 1 2 call days per week
- 1 weekend per month (Friday 7 AM Monday 7 AM)
- Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Requirements:- Board Certification and active KY NP License (or ability to obtain)
- ACLS & BLS Certifications required
- Strong procedural skills and ability to work independently
- Clean malpractice history preferred
- Must be comfortable with ICU-level care and surgical first assist duties
