Seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Non-Invasive Cardiologist (MD/DO) to provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and medical management of patients with cardiovascular disease across inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include performing and interpreting non-invasive cardiac testing (echocardiography, stress testing, ambulatory monitoring), developing evidence-based treatment plans, participating in preventive cardiology, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The role also involves clinical documentation, quality improvement, supervision/education of trainees or advanced practitioners, and meeting licensure/DEA requirements.
The Non-Invasive Cardiologist provides comprehensive cardiovascular care through the evaluation, diagnosis, and medical management of patients with heart and vascular disease. This role focuses on non-invasive diagnostic testing, preventive cardiology, and longitudinal patient care, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and manage patients with a broad range of cardiovascular conditions
Diagnose and treat coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, hypertension, and lipid disorders
Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiac diagnostic studies, including echocardiography, stress testing, ambulatory monitoring, and cardiac imaging as applicable
Provide inpatient cardiology consultation services and outpatient clinic care
Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
Participate in preventive cardiology and cardiovascular risk-reduction initiatives
Collaborate with interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac surgery, primary care, and other specialists
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, lifestyle modification, and disease prevention
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and outcomes initiatives
Supervise and educate residents, fellows, or advanced practice providers as applicable
Comply with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program
Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Disease fellowship
Board-eligible or board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease
Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure
DEA registration or eligibility
Expertise in non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostics and medical management
Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic decision-making skills
Excellent communication and patient counseling abilities
Ability to manage complex and chronic cardiovascular conditions
Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care
Outpatient cardiology clinics, diagnostic testing laboratories, and inpatient hospital settings
Call coverage as determined by practice or service needs
Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout clinic and hospital environments
Manual dexterity for diagnostic testing and examinations
Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for interpretation of diagnostic studies
