Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a TN or compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes laboring mothers and newborns
- Special procedures include triage assessments, inductions, cesarean deliveries, external versions, NSTs, circumcisions, newborn resuscitation and stabilization, and magnesium sulfate administration
- Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week, 18:45 to 7:15
- Weekend coverage and call are required
- Floating to other units as needed based on skill set
- EPIC EMR is used, and one year of EPIC experience is required
- Responsibilities include providing comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns, performing specialized procedures, and responding to emergencies
- Team environment with support from other nurses and care providers
- Holiday coverage may be required as determined by the unit schedule
- Two professional references are required for consideration
- Dress code and scrub color details may be provided during onboarding
Requirements
- Active TN or compact RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications
- At least two years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
- No first-time travelers accepted
- One year of recent EPIC EMR experience required
- Candidates must live more than 100 miles from any Prisma facility to be eligible
- Night shift travelers must live at least 50 miles from the facility
