The position is available immediately and offers a flexible schedule with 24-hour shifts.

Position Details:

• Certification Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Surgery, BLS, PALS
• License Requirements: Iowa medical license
• Procedures Required: General Surgical Cases (Pediatric and Neonatal), Chest Wall/Pleural Procedures, Central Line Insertion, Chest Tube Insertion, Vascular Surgery (Thoracic, Abdominal), Laparoscopic Surgery (Cholecystectomy, Hernioplasty, Nissen Fundoplication), Additional Procedures for Physicians Trained as Pediatric Surgeons (Esophageal Atresias, Intestinal Atresias, Biliary Atresias, Abdominal Wall Defects - Gastroschisis, Umbilical Defects - Omphalocele, Umbilical Defects - Hernia)

Practice Details:

• Practice Setting: Hospital Based
• Schedule: 24-Hour shifts, Call Schedule: 7AM to 7AM
• Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: 3
• Trauma Level/Designation: Level 2 Trauma Center
• Documentation System/EMR: AEHR
• Number of Operating Rooms: 20+
• Number of General Surgeons in Practice: 2
• Patient Age Demographic: Adolescent, Pediatric, Neonate, Adult, Geriatric
