Responsibilities include managing chronic and acute conditions, collaborating with mental health providers, and utilizing EMR systems to ensure quality patient care. This on-site W2 role offers a supportive environment with no call duties and a flexible weekday schedule.
A leading employee health and wellness clinic (client name confidential) is seeking a personable and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join their Primary Care team in Downtown Hartford, CT (06103). This is a W2, premium opportunity with a focus on quality care, not patient volume.
Position Highlights:- Location: Downtown Hartford, CT (06103)
- Schedule: Wednesday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (some flexibility possible)
- Setting: On-site clinic serving employees and adult dependents of a large financial group
- Start Date: ASAP ideally by early June
- Duration: Through 8/8/2025, with potential to extend
- On-Call: None
- Certifications:
- Board Certified (ANCC or AANP)
- BLS (hands-on preferred or willing to obtain)
- DEA not required but preferred
- Licensure: Active CT NP license
- Experience:
- Ideally 3+ years as an NP
- Must be able to work independently with minimal training
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Required (proof of vaccination since 2020)
- Provide primary care services to adult patients (18+)
- Manage chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol)
- Treat acute conditions (e.g., colds, UTIs, sore throat)
- Collaborate with on-site mental health provider and support staff
- Use Athena EMR and patient messaging tools (training provided)
- Salary: $120,000 $160,000/year (W2)
- Support: 1 MA (also a trained phlebotomist and EMT)
- Clinic Setup: Small, modern clinic with 1 exam room and shared workspaces
- Supervision: Collaborative MD/DO assigned
- Low patient volume (5 10/day)
- No weekends, no call
