Key Details: Start Date: December 25, 2024 End Date: Ongoing with flexible scheduling Shift Details: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM 7:00 AM) Weekend and holiday shifts included as part of the rotation Supplemental coverage provided by APPs working 10:00 AM 10:00 PM Highlights: Competitive compensation for ABEM-certified candidates. Additional support from APPs during peak hours. Low patient volume: average of 1.5 2 patients per hour. Meditech EMR system in use. Travel arrangements provided, including flight, hotel, and rental car. Requirements: Must be Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM). Active North Dakota license or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC). Certifications required: ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and DEA. A minimum of 250 case logs in the last year. Comfortable managing a wide range of procedures: Intubations, chest tubes, central lines Critical care, procedural sedation, and airway management Adult and pediatric resuscitations OB/GYN and delivery cases Additional Information: The facility operates like a larger hospital while maintaining the personalized care of a critical access facility. Credentialing process typically takes about four weeks; temporary privileges available for urgent needs. Preference given to local candidates, though travel physicians are welcome to apply.
