JOB OVERVIEW
• Job Title: Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) - Night Coverage
• Job Type: Locum Tenens
• Location: Virginia
• Service Setting: Inpatient Hospital
• Coverage Type: Clinical Only
• Coverage Period: 4-6 Months
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Night Shift: 14 shifts/month (7 on/7 off preferred, minimum 7 shifts/month)
PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Adult Inpatient Population
• Admissions: Required; 3-4 per night
• Procedures: Preferred but not required
- Vent management required
- Intubations preferred (Emergency Medicine EM available if needed)
• Code Response: NP/PA responds to codes and rapid responses (EM assists with codes and emergent procedures)
FACILITY INFORMATION
• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental
• EMR: Meditech
• Temp Privileges: Available once CVO process is completed

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Licensing and Certification:
- Must have an active Virginia (VA) license and DEA
- Must have a clean file (No malpractice, etc.) COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Rate: TBD
• Malpractice Insurance: Covered

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active VA State License and DEA
• Experience: Prior inpatient hospitalist experience preferred
• Procedures: Must indicate ability to perform procedures (if applicable) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide night shift inpatient hospitalist coverage
• Perform patient admissions and rapid responses
• Collaborate with medical staff and support teams
• Utilize Meditech EMR for documentation and care management
• Participate in hospital protocols and quality initiatives
• Perform procedures if applicable (vent management required; intubations preferred)
