Job Details:
• 4 years of nursing experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH
• Must pass an advanced dysrhythmia test for competency assessment
• Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required every third weekend
• 72 hours of orientation provided
• May float to different units as needed
• Care for cardiac patients in intensive care setting
• Work with specialized equipment including Balloon Pump, Impella, and CRRT
• Manage complex cardiac procedures and interventions
• Skills include arterial line management, ventilator management, cardiac drip titration, post-cardiac surgery care, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• 10-bed unit with daily census of 8 patients
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
