The Internal Medicine Physician will conduct non-treatment evaluations, including Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for veterans in Houston, IL. The role involves performing interview-based assessments and limited physical tests, with flexible work options in office or facility settings. Candidates must hold an active medical license and AANP certification, with relevant experience in general medicine or related fields.
Join us in providing exceptional care for our nation's veterans! We are seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in Houston, IL. This facility is dedicated to serving veterans by conducting thorough evaluations without treatment or prescriptions. We have flexible options to accommodate your schedule, whether you choose to work from your own office or within a designated facility.
Job Responsibilities:- Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Option to work half-days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours).
- Complete necessary documentation, including reports and addendums.
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain certification and competency.
- Be available for PRN work on an ongoing basis.
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Must have your own office to see veterans if there is no VES location in the area.
- Active AANP certification and unrestricted medical license.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine is preferred.
- Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
- Active and unrestricted medical license.
- AANP certification.
- Submission of required documentation for presentation, including license and certification numbers.
