JOB OVERVIEW

- Coverage Type: Clinical Only (No on-call, no weekend call)
- Coverage Period: ASAP Ongoing
- Clinical Shift Schedule: 5 days per week, 07:30 - 15:30 with opportunities for additional hours at Plattsburgh, NY and up to 2 extra hours at Malone, NY , no weekends or holidays.
PATIENT INFORMATION
- Patient Demographics: General anesthesia cases
- Patient Volume/Census: 4 to 6 cases per day (depending on specialty and surgeon), 10-12 cases per day for GI endoscopies
- Case Mix: Ortho, ENT, General Surgery, Gynecology, Plastics, Podiatry, GI Endoscopy
FACILITY INFORMATION
- EMR System: Epic
- Office Equipment Available: Standard anesthesia equipment
- Specialty Backup Available: Anesthesiologists for block procedures
- Support Staff Available: Anesthesiologists and Advanced Practitioners
- Reason for Coverage: Ongoing locum coverage
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
- Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
- Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (for providers with no malpractice history)
- Credentialing Timeline: 90 days

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
- Required Procedures: General anesthesia cases, including Ortho, ENT, General Surgery, Gynecology, Plastics, Podiatry, GI Endo
- No Pediatric or OB cases required. CRNAs will cover C-sections only if the anesthesiologist performs the spinal or epidural.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses: Active NY state license
- Certifications: Relevant CRNA certifications
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years as a CRNA
- Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Epic EMR system
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform anesthesia services at Plattsburgh, NY & Malone, NY.
- Provide anesthesia services for various specialties: Ortho, ENT, General Surgery, Gynecology, Plastics, Podiatry, and GI Endoscopy.
- Collaborate with Anesthesiologists for block procedures and coverage of C-sections.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Complete hospital modules during orientation as needed.
- Flexibility to work between Plattsburgh, NY & Malone, NY including occasional extended hours at Alice Hyde.
