Candidates must have at least one year of trailer and brake system repair experience and a valid driver's license.
Trailer Mechanic (Experienced)
We are seeking an experienced Trailer Mechanic to join a stable, well-run operation supporting commercial trailer maintenance and repair. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who takes pride in safety, quality workmanship, and consistency.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose, service, and repair commercial trailers in accordance with established repair standards
- Perform required safety and compliance inspections, including FHWA/DOT inspections
- Repair and maintain braking systems, suspension, air systems, and electrical components
- Complete work orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe shop and yard environment
- Follow all safety, compliance, and quality procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on trailer repair experience (required)
- Minimum 1 year of brake system experience (required)
- Qualified to complete FHWA/DOT inspections
- Strong working knowledge of air, electrical, braking, and suspension systems
- General mechanical and body repair knowledge
- Valid, current driver’s license
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Monday–Friday, daytime schedule
- Little to no nights or weekends
- Stable workload with consistent hours
