This position is for a Nurse Practitioner specializing in liver and pancreas surgery in a hospital-based surgical specialty practice in Atlanta, GA. Responsibilities include managing pre-operative and post-operative care, coordinating with surgical teams, and providing clinical support during rounds and consults. • Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00a 5:00p (40 hours per pay period)

• December 29, 2025 April 30, 2026 (ongoing coverage for volume increase and leave vacancy)

• Rounding: Included as part of surgical service
• Phone Consults: Included
• Case Mix: Liver and pancreas surgical patients, pre-operative and post-operative management

• Office Equipment Available: Standard clinic and hospital resources
• Specialty Backup Available: Liver and pancreas surgical team
• Support Staff Available: Surgical specialists and clinical support staff
• Reason for Coverage: Volume increase and provider leave vacancy
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Overtime Terms: Daily overtime after 24 hours; weekly overtime after 40 hours
• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Pre-operative patient evaluations
• Post-operative surgical follow-up
• Inpatient and outpatient surgical care coordination
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active Georgia Nurse Practitioner license
• Board: Certified Nurse Practitioner
• DEA: As required by facility
• Certifications: As required by facility
• Experience: Surgical NP experience preferred, hepatobiliary or pancreas experience strongly preferred
• Other Qualifications: Ability to manage high-volume surgical service and collaborate with specialty surgeons
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide clinical support for liver and pancreas surgical services
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care
• Coordinate care plans with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in weekday clinic and hospital coverage
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
