Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with Level 1 trauma experience and Epic charting proficiency for a day shift assignment in Illinois.
Responsibilities
- Work in an intensive care unit (ICU) hospital setting
- Care for critically ill adult patients in a Level 1 trauma environment
- Day shifts, 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, three days per week
- Uses Epic EMR; prior experience required
- No local candidates permitted within a 50-mile radius
- Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for critically ill patients
- Must complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Expected to modify care plans based on ongoing evaluation and patient needs
- Support a collaborative team-based work environment
- RTO (time off) not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
- Employees may not be continuously assigned for more than one year without a six-month break before returning
- No travel partners accepted
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license or temporary permit required
- Minimum of one year recent relevant ICU experience, with three years preferred
- Associate’s degree in nursing (ASN) required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Documented Level 1 trauma experience required
- Epic charting experience required
