We are seeking Trauma Surgery Advanced Practice Providers (NPs or PAs) for a part-time locum opportunity in Pennsylvania, with an ongoing need due to turnover.

Position Overview

• Setting: Inpatient
• EMR: Epic
• Privileges: Full, Temporary, and Emergency Privileges Available
  
• Shifts: (Days) 7:00 AM 7:00 PM and (Nights) 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
• Coverage: Monday Sunday (no call)
• Estimated Shifts: 8 10 shifts per month
  
• Typical procedures/cases include:
  Cholecystectomy, appendectomy, trauma exploratory laparotomy, colon resections, Graham patch repairs, hernia repairs.
  No bariatric or foregut cases.

Scope of Practice

Inpatient coverage for the Trauma and Emergency General Surgery service, including:

• Morning rounds
• OR first assisting
• Managing trauma activations
• Emergency General Surgery consults
• Inpatient service management
• Critical care management

Requirements

• NP or PA
• Board Certified
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Pennsylvania license required
• DEA & CSR required
• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS
