***Epic experience REQUIRED*** Must have: NYS Licensed RN with 2-3 years of staff CVICU experience. Unit Specifics: Number of Beds: 20 with an ADC of 11 patients. Unit staffing description- CVICU that consists of a NM, ANM, Nurse Clinician, RNs, PCAs and ASA. Patient to RN ratio: 1:1 or 1:2. Type of equipment: Vents, a-lines, central lines, spinal drains, Flo-trac, PA catheters, CRRT, IABP, CentriMag, VA & VV ECMO, Impella, HM2 & HM3. Documentation system: Soarian, MAK, and paper flowsheets Scheduling requirements: 3 – 12 hour shifts and every other weekend. Floating policy: to areas with like competencies, including MICU, SICU, CCU and PCCU. AMC has an internal float team that assists in filling holes. Patient Experience requirements: Must be able to provide compassionate and competent care in a patient centered approach. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in CVICU. Hospital Specifics- Certifications: Academic Medical Center, Level 1 trauma center (adult); Children’s Hospital within a hospital Procedures performed on unit: Intubations, central line placement, spinal drain placement, bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, a-line placement, urgent surgical procedures such as an Ex-lap, fasciotomies, open chest, ECMO cannulation, and trach placement.Medical Solutions Job ID #1030988.
