American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ER Holding position in Ohio requiring OH or compact license, telemetry skills, and night shift availability.
Responsibilities- Work in the ER Holding Unit within a hospital setting
- Serves pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
- Patient ratio is 1 nurse to 4 patients
- Night shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 to 07:30)
- Uses Epic for documentation
- Telemetry and dysrhythmia management are core responsibilities
- Responsibilities include blood product administration, IV insulin and heparin protocols, wound care, tracheostomy management, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, rapid response team utilization, non-invasive airway management, and renal failure management
- Experience with PCU/stepdown care and wound vac management is expected
- All RTO must be submitted with the application to be considered
- Local and travel candidates accepted at the same rate
- Former employees may apply if separated from the facility for at least 6 months
- Candidates must complete urgent Ohio fingerprinting following contract signing
- Active OH or compact RN license in hand is required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
- Experience with telemetry and dysrhythmia management necessary
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
- Completion of nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Two recent professional references required, with at least one from a manager or formal leader
- Applicants must not be current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location
