American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care/Telemetry Float Pool position requiring strong MS/Tele or IMC expertise and Epic charting experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a Progressive Care/Telemetry Float Pool at a Magnet, Level II Trauma Center
- Float to various adult inpatient units including stepdown, IMC, ED, ICU, and may float to the nearby West Valley Hospital
- Patient ratios are typically 1:4-6 on RN assignments
- 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30
- Every other weekend required
- Uses Epic EMR
- Patient population includes adult medical-surgical and telemetry cases
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Responsible for activating rapid response when necessary
- Expected to uphold isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Must complete pre-start modules up to 8 hours and annual specialty modules
- Strict RTO policy; any request over 2 weeks requires approval and further changes after submission may result in removal from consideration
- Free parking on-site
- Local and travel candidates accepted at the same rate
- Travelers assigned to float first to West Valley Hospital when needed
- Team members must be highly flexible and knowledgeable in supporting a wide range of adult inpatient care units
- Active OR RN license required (pending accepted at submission but must be active before start)
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in MS/Tele/PCU within the last 3 years
- BLS certification through AHA required
- Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms
- Experience with management of dysrhythmias, O2 protocol, non-invasive airway management, and peripheral line care
- Experience with cardiac drips such as nitro, Cardizem, or amiodarone
- Epic charting experience required
- COVID vaccination required, no exemptions
- No first-time travelers accepted
- Must not have been employed as a permanent staff member within the last 6 months at any Salem Health facility
